Communion Encounters – How To Make It Happen
An event of this magnitude must start with prayer.
An event of this magnitude must start with prayer. The vision was birthed in prayer, and the success of this event will be determined by continued prayer, not organization or good planning, even though both are necessary. We must come together in one accord and pray, seeking God’s presence, His glory, and His face.
Along with continued prayer, communication with area pastors, church and community leaders through calls, zoom calls, and in-person meetings will be held to form a cohesive group who share in the vision and work directly with Power Up Ministries. In those conversations, we will establish the steps, organizational aspects, and overall plans to build momentum and impact the body of Christ and the community.
Power Up Ministries will host the event in cooperation with local churches, ministries, and Christian businesses. In addition, Jay Brinegar from Power Up Ministries will be available to speak in area churches, pastors, or business meetings to more effectively impart the vision of the Communion Encounter event and enlist volunteers from the body of Christ needed in various areas.
These areas include but are not limited to prayer teams and churches to host area prayer meetings, worship teams, Communion Station teams, salvation/altar teams, evangelism and follow-up teams, and water baptism teams, to name a few. Volunteer training sessions for all areas of service will be conducted in a timely manner.
The Four-Day Communion Encounter Overview
The event will cover four days. We will conduct weekly prayer meetings leading up to the event, with the times and locations determined in conjunction with area pastors and churches.
- Day 1 - Thursday.
- We will have a day of prayer and fasting, with prayer meetings held throughout the area and at multiple times of the day. No meeting will be held at the venue itself.
- Day 2 – Friday.
- There will be a meeting on Friday evening with worship, prayer, and teaching on communion, along with reviewing details of the main Communion Encounter event to be held on Saturday. We will also have altar calls and water baptisms on Friday night. Friday daytime meetings may be held on an event-by-event basis.
- Day 3 – Saturday.
- We will have a one-hour morning prayer meeting before opening the venue to all attendees. The main Worship and Communion Encounter service will begin at noon. Multiple Communions will be served, along with multiple altar calls for various needs. Water baptisms will also be conducted throughout the day.
- Day 4 – Sunday.
-
- The day of Thanksgiving and testimonies at local church gatherings.
While this is an excellent general overview of the Communion Encounter event, greater detail will be outlined to those who want to learn more, be involved in the planning process, or volunteer in some capacity.
